Enrolment Fee 2024

A non-refundable $10 enrolment fee is required each term (per student). This fee may be wavered if your child joins in the last 2 weeks of term. This secures your child's spot in their class/es and contributes towards studio admin, maintenance and insurance for each student. 

Term Fees 2024

All classes besides Petites and Dream Teams are priced at $12 per lesson.

Petites classes are priced at $10 per lesson

Dream Team classes are priced at $13 per lesson

‘Pay as you go’ for all classes is $15 per lesson - paid when student attends

All dance lessons will be invoiced by the Term, unless requested otherwise to be invoiced 'Pay as you go'. Reminder that our Term dates do not align with school term dates (see SDS Term Dates below) Pro rata adjustments are made for new students enrolling part way through a term.

All invoices are issued via email. It is vital that SDS has a correct and regularly accessed email address on file.

Term Fees must be paid upfront in full within the first two weeks of the Term. At least 2 weeks notice is given when invoiced.

Term 1 - Monday 5th Feb to Sunday 7th April (9 weeks)

Term 2 - Monday 15th April to Sunday 30th June (11 weeks)

Term 3 - Monday 8th July to Sunday 22nd September (11 weeks)

Term 4 - Monday 30th September to Sunday 1st December (9 weeks)

*Note that all classes run through all public holidays and pupil free days

*First week of school holidays classes run as normal. Second week of school holidays we break. Pop up classes may run for students who still wish to attend

Late Fees

All invoices are emailed out using our software Class Manager. Automated reminders are emailed out prior to due dates, on the due date and a few days past due date (if not paid by due date). Once invoices reach 14 days outstanding, a 15% late fee surcharge is added. This is irrelevant of whether a partial payment has been previously made. Invoices must be paid in full to avoid attracting a late fee.

Drop Out Fees

If a student ceases enrolment in a single class, a $20 flat fee will be charged. If they cease enrolment in two classes, a $40 flat fee will be charged - and so forth for any further additional classes. These drop out charges are applicable four weeks after their enrolment date. Any remaining pre paid lessons can be refunded in full or credited to another student.

If a student ceases enrolment in the two week period leading up to any given performance, a $50 flat fee will be charged to compensate for extra time spent by our instructors and admin re arranging plus any extra rehearsal time for class that may be needed. These charges are multiplied per class (example - student ceases enrolment in two classes, the charge would be $100).

If a student unexpectedly cannot perform in any given performance (including on the day) the above fee is halved. Sufficient reasoning must be given such as a doctors certificate - this is to avoid un reasonable drop outs.

Hire Costumes

Our dance school hires out dance costumes rather than expecting parents to pay outright for $100+ costumes. Students are expected to need between 2-3 costumes each year which they use for multiple performances and class photos. Each hire costume ranges between $10-$30 depending on quality and make. Some costumes are sourced from more affordable outlets and are invoiced to be kept at the end of the year. These ‘keep’ costumes also range between $10-$30

Footwear

Each class has a requirement for footwear to be worn whilst rehearsing in class and performing. Our younger ages 2-6 years usually need ballet slippers (often found in your local Big W or Kmart stores but also available in any Dancewear store). Older students may need jazz shoes which are also available at any Dancewear store/Online. Hip Hop and Cheer classes require general sneakers.

Concert Fees

Student Concert Fee $60 per student includes: rehearsal day, concert participation, backstage assistance, FREE concert movie and an engraved medal (EOY)
